Hello, I’m Xu Yuting, known as DD-Anne. I love dolls, cats and I like flowers, hope I have a garden someday. I collect fabrics, laces and beads etc.>x< I like painting since I was a child.

I started to make bjds in 2005, when I was a junior in college. My major was bioinformatics. I wasn’ trained as an artist, so I learn by myself.

I think dolls are not only toys. To me, making dolls just like writing or painting, it’s a kind of expression, so I add my feeling my thoughts and my personality into my dolls. I prefer to finish my doll all by myself from original scuplting, casting, sanding, assembling to painting face up and making outfits.

I think one of the most interesting thing to be a doll artist is you need to learn not only sculpting, but also other skills, such as molding, painting, shoe&wig making, sewing, embroidering, beading, even furniture making, the more the better. These skills will make the dolls unique.
